Initially, Ayane had five different costumes, with two default costumes and three unlockable costumes. However, with the release of the downloadable content, Ayane now has eight costumes overall, with three different DLC costumes.
For her costumes, Ayane only has one new original costume, with the rest being from previous games in the series.
|Costume 1 - Dark purple shinobi shōzoku with a butterfly print on her left breast and a print of pink chrysanthemums on her back, a fishnet shirt with a black collar worn underneath, an indigo sash tied around her waist which holds her kunai-style dagger in place, light grey arm-guards with black detail, and black-heeled tabi boots with light grey, butterfly-patterned shin-guards. She also has a metal mask tied around her wrist with rope.

|Costume 2 - Black kimono-style shirt with purple detail and a butterfly image, a small, red obi sash tied around her waits, a piece of rope tied around her waist in a bow, a purple decorative tail with a red and orange ball tied to it, black shorts, white knee-high socks, and black okobo with red straps.
She also wears gold-colored arm-guards and a black kitsune mask on the left side of her head.
|Costume 3 - Navy blue jacket with white stripes and a shuriken-shaped zip, a green camouflage mini-skirt, knee-high white socks, and white sneakers with dark blue detail.

|Costume 4 - Black sweater and pants, a black vest with gold metal detail and held by a black sash which is tied around the waist, a dark red obi sash tied around her waist, black arm- and shin-guards with gold metal detail, and black tabi boots with heels. For this costume, Ayane's bandana is black.

|Costume 5 - Sleeveless, black crop top with a white stripe going down the middle, a white miniskirt with see-through sides and black suspenders, black wristbands, indigo thigh-high socks with white stripes down the sides, and white boots with dark purple laces.

|Costume 6 (Download 1) - Sleeveless, dark purple mini-dress with a dark orange hem and a pink butterfly printed on the skirt. She also wears matching detached sleeves, thigh-high socks, ankle boots, and a long orange obi sash tied around her waist in a bow.

|Costume 7 (Download 2) - Black and purple mini-dress with a pink trim, detached dark purple sleeves with metal cuffs, black fishnet stockings, purple padding which covers the side of her legs, light brown leg warmers, black shoes, and a light pink sash tied around her waist in a bow.

|Costume 8 (Download 3) - Western-style summer school uniform which consists of a light blue school blouse, a bluish-grey sweater vest, and a beige plaid skirt, with a red-pink necktie, knee-high, deep brown socks, and black loafers.
