[edit] History

[edit] Dead or Alive 3

One day, the old master Chen, great teacher of Zui Ba Xian Quan, says to Brad: "Bring me the legendary drink. The name is 'Genra.'" These words are a riddle to Brad Wong, and he begins his journey in search of the mysterious "Genra." After three years of wandering, he finds himself in a fighting tournament.

[edit] Dead or Alive 4

Brad is still looking for the legendary drink Genra when he enters the fourth Dead or Alive tournament. During the third tournament he thought he had found it, but it turned out to be some sort of genetic monstrosity. During his CGI ending scene, he had finally found the legendary drink, Genra, which gave him quite a trippy experience. It was not explained why the drink and the ninja-turned-monster share the same name.

[edit] Personality

Brad Wong seems to be characterized by his love of alcohol as well as his overall nonchalant demeanor. He fights with honor and exhibits the spirit of a true martial artist in that he treats others with the respect they deserve, never talking down to an opponent, though of course, if attacked, he will defend himself. He talks to Eliot before their battle in DOA4, trying to help him understand his master's trust in him. Also, Brad seems to be a ladies man as well as shown in Kokoro's story mode in DOA4, Brad tries to ask her to have a drink with him, but Kokoro refuses and fights him. He appears to hold little respect to his master, as seen in DOA4 when speaking with Eliot, he refers to him as an "average drunk". However, this could also simply be the truth, given his master's fascination with the 'drink' Genra in DOA3.

[edit] Gameplay

Brad Wong is classed as a trick character. Regarding his tier however, he lacks priority in his moves. Despite this, many of his moves are visually unpredictable (especially those newer to the game) due to the "drunken" quality of his fighting style, being able to employ evasive maneuvers and make quick use of his various stances. However Brad is usually effective against new players only since they find his attacks difficult to counter or defend against.
