Earlier this year, Tecmo Koei released Warriors Orochi 3 in American and Europe. The fourth installment of the crossover series Warriors Orochi, being the combination of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series, this title included four guest characters from other series, also known as "Collaboration Characters". Two of these said guests included Ryu Hayabusa and Ayane. In this promotional image, they are joined by Kotarō Fūma, Hanzō Hattori, Nene, and Kunoichi from Samurai Warriors.

Nobunyaga no Yabou is a browser-based social game produced by Tecmo Koei, presented as a "cuter" incarnation of Nobunaga's Ambition, with the added twist of recasting the whole cast as cats.
As a April Fool's joke in 2012, a fake announcement for Cat or Alive, a crossover with Dead or Alive was created. A headline banner for the Nobunyaga no Yabou website was published, showing a render of Ginchiyo Tachibana dressed up as Kasumi. The banner was taken down the next day. In 2011, there was a similar April Fool's joke made entitled Nyanja Gaiden.
March 2012
One of Ayane's costumes in Dead or Alive 2 and Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate was based on the outfit worn by the character Millennia in Kagero: Deception II; another Tecmo title. Both characters are similar in design, as they are both young women with short hair. As well of the clothing, Ayane's tribute costume also included Millennia's red tattoo located on her upper back, which is visable thanks to the backless dress.
