The following are the costumes available to Bass Armstrong in all versions of Dead or Alive 2 (1999-2000), including the DOA2: Hardcore games.
Arcade versions[]
In both the original arcade version and the Dead or Alive 2: Millennium update, Bass has a total of two costumes, which are available to him from the start.

(Originally his third costume from the PAL PlayStation version of the first Dead or Alive.)

Costume 2 - Off-white shirt with a brown vest, jeans with chaps, cowboy boots, a pair of arm-guards, red neckerchief, a cowboy hat, and a lasso attached to the back of his waist.
Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 versions[]
For the Dreamcast versions and the Japanese PlayStation 2 version, Bass has two default costumes, and over time gains just two new costumes.
On the Japanese Dreamcast version, there are four ways to get each costume. Two are quick but difficult to do, while the other two take time but are easy to complete. If the player uses the UPS options, the costumes will be saved to the UPS and not the system file. This means that if the system file is copied, the costumes will not be, as the UPS is not transferable.
