The following are the costumes available to Gen Fu in all versions of Dead or Alive 2 (1999-2000), including the DOA2: Hardcore games.
Arcade versions[]
In both the original arcade version and the Dead or Alive 2: Millennium update, Gen Fu has a total of two costumes, which are available to him from the start.

Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 versions[]
For the Dreamcast versions and the Japanese PlayStation 2 version, Gen Fu has two default costumes, and over time gains four new unlockable costumes.
On the Japanese Dreamcast version, there are four ways to get each costume. Two are quick but difficult to do, while the other two take time but are easy to complete. If the player uses the UPS options, the costumes will be saved to the UPS and not the system file. This means that if the system file is copied, the costumes will not be, as the UPS is not transferable.
SYS1: saved to system file, difficult
SYS2: saved to system file, easy
UPS1: saved to UPS file, difficult
UPS2: saved to UPS file, easy
