Hayate/Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate costumes

The following are the costumes available to Hayate in the 2013 title, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate.

At the start of the game, Hayate has seven different costumes, with two being available from the start, and the remaining five costumes being unlocked through either Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, or Survival Mode.

Hayate's costumes are unlocked in the order listed, regardless of the difficulty and mode played. For the tag team option, both characters will unlock a costume, and all of the costumes can be unlocked even from courses that were already cleared.

With the release of the downloadable costumes, Hayate was given six different DLC costumes, adding his total up to thirteen costumes.

NOTE: Due to the Dead or Alive 5 Last Round update, this costume list is now obsolete.

	Costume 1 - Black shinobi shōzoku with a pair of boots that have studs on the soles, a set of grey-and-brown armor with the crest of the Mugen Tenshin clan on the backplate, and a metal headband. He also has the Jinran-Maru and a wakizashi, both of which are secured to the back of his body.	Default
	Costume 2 - White-and-blue shinobi shōzoku with a chain mail and black pants worn under the shōzoku, a pair of leg guards, tabi-style boots, a pair of padded gloves, and a metal headband. He also has the Jinran-Maru and a wakizashi, both of which are secured to the back of his body. (Originally his first costume from Dead or Alive 3.)	Default
	Costume 3 - Red shinobi shōzoku with a set of black clothes worn under the shōzoku, a chest guard, a set of black armor, tabi-style boots, a metal headband, a scarf, and a mask which covers his lower face. He also has a metal bow secured to his back, and a quiver attached to his belt. (The costume is based on his second costume from Dead or Alive 3.) 	Costume 4 - White-and-black vest with the Mugen Tenshin crest, a black-and-white shinobi shōzoku, tabi-style boots with leg guards, a black-and-gold sash, ribbon wrapped around his wrists, and a metal headband. (The costume is based on Shiden's first costume from Dead or Alive Dimensions.)	Complete any difficulty on either Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, or Survival Mode
	Costume 5 - Black-and-blue full bodysuit with ankle boots and a metal visor which covers his whole face. (The costume is based on the appearance of Toreko, the training dummy from the Sega Saturn version of the first Dead or Alive.) 	Costume 6 - Leather bodysuit with blue armor, tabi-style boots with greaves, a pair of sleeves with armguards, bandages wrapped around his hands, a tattered scarf, a metal headband, and a mask which covers his lower face. He also has the Jinran-Maru and a wakizashi, both of which are secured to the back of his body.	Complete any difficulty on either Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, or Survival Mode
	Costume 7 - Black shorts with a patterned edge and the Mugen Tenshin crest on his left leg, MMA gloves, and a metal headband.	Complete any difficulty on either Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, or Survival Mode
	Costume 8 - White-and-blue shinobi shōzoku with the shirt and a chain mail tied around his waist, black pants worn under the shōzoku, a pair of leg guards, tabi-style boots, a pair of padded gloves, and a metal headband. 	Costume 9 - Dressed as Santa Claus. The costume consists of a over-size red jacket with white fur, matching pants, and a pair of boots. He also wears a metal headband.	"Santa Costumes" DLC
	Costume 10 - Dressed as the Greek god Eros. The costume consists of a blue chiton with a patterned hemline and a pair of wings on the back, a blue sash, black shorts, a pair of sandals with greaves, matching armguards, gold pauldrons, and a metal headband. 	Costume 11 - Blue kimono with the sleeves tied back with ribbon, a white shirt worn under the kimono, blue-and-white striped hakama, a pair of tabi, sandals with blue straps, and a sash tied around his forehead.	"Casual Collection Vol. 1" DLC
	Costume 12 - Dressed as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The costume consists of a hooded jacket with fur and the face of Rudolph on the hood, a pair of white pants, leather boots, a choker with a bell and holly leaves, and a metal headband.	"Christmas Set" DLC
	Costume 13 - Dressed as an oni. The costume consists black pants with a tiger-skin sash that has decorative horned skulls, oni-shaped breastplate, tabi-style boots with leg guards, metal bangles on his wrists, spiked armbands on his biceps, a mask with a skull, and a metal headband with horns. He also has a kanabō secured to his back, and a pair of blue oni hands.	"Halloween 2014 Set" DLC

Trivia

• In Story Mode, Hayate wears only his first costume.
• Costume 13 was designed by a fan for a costume design contest, set up by Team Ninja.
