Danger Zone is a stage which originated in the original Dead or Alive as Kasumi's stage.
A variation of the stage called Danger Zone 2 also appears in Dead or Alive 2.
Stage usage and story[]
In the original version of the first Dead or Alive, the stage was used for Kasumi when the player fought against her in arcade mode.
In the first chapter of Dead or Alive Dimensions, the Danger Zone is used for the final rounds of the first tournament. It is also where Kasumi (with the aid of Ryu Hayabusa) avenges her brother, Hayate, by killing Raidou. Immediately afterwards, Kasumi is kidnapped by DOATEC.
Description[]
The Danger Zone is a closed-in, square cargo-lift, which carries highly explosive, toxic material stored in large tubes fixed in the walls. The lift either descends or raises up the underground shaft as the fight taken place within it. If anyone impacts into the walls, the tubes will explode, inflict bonus damage upon them. According to the in-game map in Dead or Alive 3, the stage is location in the South-West of America; very likely in the state of Nevada.
Danger Zone 2 is similar in design, but is stationary and instead features a series of spotlights that focus on the ring.
Dimensions features a variation that begins, stationary, above ground, then begins descending for the second part of the boss fight against Raidou. The palm trees above ground seem to imply a tropical location.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round uses the same design as the original game's (that is a safe space in the center of the ring with explosive tiles nearing the edge) but two sides are walled. As DOA5 lacks Ring Outs, throwing an opponent over the exposed edges will take them down to another such platform, which has the possibility of having a completely unsafe fighting surface.

Trivia[]
- The Danger Zone stage is the most recurring stage in the series.
- The Dead or Alive 5 Last Round version of the stage is prohibited in competitive play. This is due to the stage physics where throwing an opponent down to another platform, landing on a completely unsafe fighting surface launches them in the air, giving the attacker an opportunity for extended air juggle combos and air throws.
- It is also one of the only four stages in the series to be tournament banned, the other three being Experimental Playground from Dead or Alive 4, Geothermal Power Plant (aka Metroid stage) from Dead or Alive Dimensions, and Dead or Alive 5's version of the Dojo stage.
