The following are the costumes available to Gen Fu in all versions of the first Dead or Alive (1996-98).

Arcade versionEdit

In the original arcade release, all of the characters have three different costumes which are available from the start.

For Gen Fu, all of his costumes have the same design, though have their own color schemes.

DOA1 Gen-Fu C1 Arc Costume 1 - White tunic with red detail and the Tao symbol on his left breast and back. The tunic has a burgundy collar and sleeves, with the sleeves having Chinese characters written on them.

He also wears deep grey pants and kung fu shoes.

DOA1 Gen-Fu C2 Arc Costume 2 - Dark blue tunic with red and gold detail and the Tao symbol on his left breast and back. The tunic has a deep blue collar and sleeves, with the sleeves having Chinese characters written on them.

He also wears deep blue pants and kung fu shoes.

DOA1 Gen-Fu C3 Arc Costume 3 - Dark green tunic with orange and yellow detail and the Tao symbol on his left breast and back. The tunic has a deep green collar and sleeves, with the sleeves having Chinese characters written on them.

He also wears light grey pants and kung fu shoes.

Sega Saturn versionEdit

In the Sega Saturn version, Gen Fu now has five different costumes, with his original arcade costumes being his now default costumes, and two new unlockable costumes.

For his new costumes, Gen Fu wears two different colored aloha shirts, shorts, and sandals.

PlayStation versionsEdit

In the Japanese and North American versions of the game, Gen Fu has all of his costumes from the Sega Saturn version.

In the PAL version, Gen Fu gains two new costumes, adding up his total to seven.
