Anyone mind telling me why Lei Fang was changed to the incorrect "Leifang"?

What is the basis for her Chinese etymology in the current entry?
It has been known for some time what her Chinese name is, which consists of the chinese characters for "Square" (surname), "Beauty" and "Phoenix" (which combined makes up "Leifang", though that is not a spelling style familiar to me). It is shown written on her underwear in DOA4 I believe.
